Just listed!

Couple of hats I added to my shop (www.byzula.com) today. I should be dubbed the Hat Queen or something. lol I'm always working on a hat!
They're being modelled by my new mannequin addition. Haven't named him yet though.

Now to get to work on my patterns. I have to change my banner and copyright info on all of them. *sigh* If I can manage to get that all done tonight, I can work on something new tomorrow! Yayy!! :-)

Help!!!

So I was browsing in the haberdashery section of John Lewis today and came across some wool I've never seen before. I haven't been yarn shopping in awhile, so don't know if they've just come out or are old news.






Regardless, I want some of both!! But of course being a person on a budget, I can only choose one. *sigh*

They look like they'd make some cozy slippers or an interesting hat. Maybe slippers since I'm working on a slipper pattern for my shop.(www.byzula.com)

Hmmm... Which do you think I should try first? 😊

Body Parts

I received this oddly shaped pkg. in the post. I wonder what the postman was thinking when he delivered it. hehe


It was only a female torso. A fake one of course. 😜


I'll be using her to model future scarves and such. Well, when I get around to making them anyway. I have so many things to crochet on my list!


My boys were a bit surprised to find half a naked lady in my room. Sooo, for the sake of modesty and all, she's now partially dressed. hehe

Hope everyone is enjoying the new year so far. This month is almost half over already! Where does the time go? *sigh*

Ready for the New Year?

Happy new year!!

Here is a list of questions pertaining to last year that I'd like to work more on this year.

Did I crochet and design as much as I wanted and should have? - Nope

Did I blog as much as I should have? - Nope

Did I stop procrastinating? - I'll answer that one later. 😉

Did I find inner peace? - hehe Yeah right.

Did I do my tax return? - Oh crap, did I?! May be in some trouble there.

Did I give to charity and the homeless? - Always!! 😊

Did I go to the gym regularly or at all? - I don't even remember. lol

I'm sure there are more things I should have done, and am hoping to make 2012 a very productive year.

I'm wishing the same for you as well! :-)

Whirlwind!

This past Christmas was crazy! I hope you all had a good one. :-)

I cooked til I dropped, and my family ate til they dropped. No joke, it really happened. hehe

My lil one and I baked loads of cookies, and still have some leftover dough. Was I tryna feed an army?!

My eldest went 18 on the 27th, and requested chocolate cake, Dutch apple pie, steak, Caesar salad, and fettuccine Alfredo. I'm a little heavy handed when it comes to dishing up food, I almost gave him a heart attack!

All in all, a good holiday, good birthday and an OKAY year.
Hopefully this coming year will be better! 😄

Custom Order

It's completed!!

I started this blanket for my eldest son in March 2010. Why it took me so long you ask? Ummmm...I procrastinate, then I forget, then I run out of yarn, then I forget and then I procrastinate again. It's all a vicious cycle. *sigh*
I'm working on breaking it though. :-)

I crocheted this blankie by alternating gray yarn with any color I could find. One row gray, next row colored, next gray etc. I made sure that no two colors touched each other, they HAD to be separated by gray.
No, that's not weird at all!

When I joined the different yarn ends together, I left the tied ends to stick out on only one side of the blanket. So there's one neat side, and one cool scraggly side. :-)

I crocheted around the blanket alternating gray and green, and voila! A warm 18 yr old and his new blankie, and as happy as a clam. :-)

Holidays are here!

Been pretty busy these past few weeks, crocheting like mad!
No complaints of course, these orders are helping me buy Christmas presents. hehe

I've sold 3 Luigi hats this week, there are a lot or Luigi fans out there!
I would have thought Mario would have been more popular, but I've only sold one this season.

Have a lot more items to add to my shop - www.byzula.com, so will be busy for the foreseeable future, and am very happy about that. :-)

New hooks!

I brought some pretty crochet hooks off of eBay! They're not very well made, and actually seem pretty cheaply done really. But...they're pretty!
I guess they'll just go in my crochet hook pile. I only paid a few pounds for them, so can't complain. lol
